ritter - German Quality since 1905
Ritterwerk was founded in 1905 and is located in Gröbenzell near München/ Germany.
Ritterwerk first produced knife grinding machines until this market disappeared due to stainless steel coming up.
Ritterwerk moved to slicers - first manual ones, then electric machines. Nowadays, ritter has become market leader for slicers in Europe.
In Japan ritter is also known for their high-quality peelers.
Over the last years, ritter added several kitchen appliances to their product line-up. We are offering the so-called breakfast series with kettle, coffee machine and toaster.
Truly made in Germany
All ritter products we offer are made in Gröbenzell/Germany.
Kettle, coffee machine and toaster are each manufactured at one work place, by one worker who is responsible for the complete product and its quality.
Bauhaus Inspired
Timeless design; clear, straightforward lines; no frills; focus on essential functions in high quality. This is ritter inspired by German Bauhaus.
Bauhaus was founded in 1919 in Weimar/Germany as an art school providing comprehensive education and incorporating a wide range of arts. Already in 1933 it was closed down by the Nazi regime. In these only 14 years it developed a world-wide influence. Famous representatives were Walter Gropius, Mies van der Rohe, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Anni and Josef Albers and many more.
Environmentally friendly
All 3 ritter appliances (kettle fontana5, toaster volcano5, coffee machine cafena5) received the Blue Angle certificate for saving energy and thus protecting our environment.
This eco label system was introduced in 1978 in Germany. The purpose is to promote the development and sale of environmentally friendly products. The system is operated by the Federal Minstery for Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection.
Award-winning
Over the years, ritter kitchen appliances won quite some design award - a well deserved recognition for excellent products.
